Sexuality Superheroes: Ashley Cobb
This week’s Sexuality Superhero is Ashley Cobb! Ashley conducts workshops and counselling sessions with women, ridding them of their negative tendencies, while communicating how they can feel more comfortable in their own skin. Read her feature below!
How did you find yourself working in sexuality?
I have always wanted to work in the public health field. I went back to college to obtain a Health Promotions degree in the hopes of working with the HIV/AIDS crisis. However due to the fact that I was unable to find employment once I graduated I decided to create my own lane. Sex With Ashley first started out as a blog then eventually grew to what you see today.
The best part of my job is getting to help women to explore different aspects of their sexuality.
What is your most important piece of advice that has the potential to revolutionize relationships?
Communication is key! Communicate, communicate, communicate. Talk about everything, even the things that are scary .
What do you do to decompress and take care of yourself given that you spend so much time helping and caring for others?
Self care is essential! My self care routine consist of tub baths, a good book and Netflix! Lol.
What do you want people to know about your work as sexuality coach & sexual health educator?
I absolutely LOVE what I do. I love helping women and couples to remove the negative stereotypes society has placed on sex to rediscover their true desires and sexuality. I love helping women be able to communicate their sexually needs out LOUD!
Where can we learn more about your work?
You can learn more about me and what I do at www.sexwithashley.com, my social media handles are:
Ashley is a Sexuality Coach and Sex Educator for women who crave a more intimate, exciting, fulfilling sex life. Ashley’s love for sexual wellness and pleasure starting early when she discovered “Talk Sex with Sue Johanson” this ignited her personal journey to sexual pleasure. So much so that in college she became a sexual health peer educator and majored in Health Promotions Education.
Throughout her journey, Ashley learned many people hide their thirst for knowledge, thoughts, feelings, desires and curiosity because they felt embarrassed or even worse: shamed. She created Sex With Ashley to teach women through workshops and counselling how to feel comfortable discussing their desires and how to release all the negative BS that holds them back from experiencing the best sex imaginable.
